Hello! Let me introduce myself.....
My name is Jennifer McLaughlin-Doherty. I am a leading professional Irish genealogist based in County Donegal, NW Ireland - covering all of the island of Ireland and the Irish Diaspora worldwide. With a life-long love of social history and over thirty years extensive experience in all aspects of Irish, Ulster-Scots and overseas genealogical research, I work primarily on tracing ancestral lineages, unravelling family mysteries, and uncovering rich histories that span generations. I also help file Irish citizenship applications and undertake legal probate work. With particular expertise in emigration, land records and the location of ancestral homes, I believe I am best placed to assist with your family history project from scratch, whether it is large or small, or to help break down a brick wall you may have encountered in your own research. From uncovering historical records to analysing DNA connections, I offer comprehensive services tailored to discovering your unique Irish heritage. |
I have personally worked on private genealogy commission projects for many worldwide families, leading to connections with their ancestral roots in Ireland. I have also been involved in some high-profile historical research ventures for local government, film companies, hotel groups and blue chip companies. Let me help you in your quest to find out more about your Irish ancestors, where and how they lived and possibly introduce you to living relatives who never left the country.
Once research has been completed, our tour team can then assist with plans to visit the Emerald Isle and to see all of the places connected to your Irish ancestors. With over fifteen years of tour guiding and tour planning experience throughout Ireland, we can create a bespoke, tailor-made tour for you and your group. We will arrange a no-obligation zoom call with you to discuss all of the possibilities with the option to have a personal itinerary made for you.
Let us guide you on a journey through time, connecting you to the stories and individuals that shape your family's legacy.
There never has been a better reason to choose your own Irish adventure!
