Scheduled Tours
of Ireland

Our scheduled tours bring together experiences we would love you to have in Ireland, carefully chosen and organised using our knowledge of the country, its people and the places we visit. Each departure follows a fixed itinerary, but with time to relax, absorb your surroundings and enjoy being here.

History and heritage are particular specialities of Irish Ancestral Group, though our tours reach well beyond them. Ireland can be explored through its landscapes, music, farming traditions, wildlife and natural history, as well as its historic places. Our scheduled programme will reflect that variety, with tours organised around particular themes and locations so you can choose what appeals to you.

You are welcome whether you have Irish ancestry, have visited many times before or simply feel that Ireland is somewhere you would love to experience.

A little longer. A little deeper.

Time To Enjoy Where You Are

It can be tempting to fit as much as possible into a visit to Ireland, especially when you have travelled a long way to get here. Yet some of the most enjoyable parts of a vacation happen when you have time to settle into a place, take in the view or stay a little longer over a conversation.

We plan our scheduled tours with this in mind. Alongside the organised visits, we allow time to appreciate the surroundings and enjoy the experience. We consider the travelling distances and pace carefully, choosing what works well together rather than filling every available hour.

Our aim is for you to return home feeling that you have experienced the places you visited and had time to enjoy them.

A Different Part Of Ireland Each Time

Our programme will be organised into distinct tours, each with a clear geographical or thematic focus. Depending on the departure, that might mean spending time in a particular region, exploring its music and traditions, enjoying its landscapes and natural history or bringing several interests together.

This approach also gives you a reason to return. You can enjoy one part of Ireland on your first visit and join us for another “leg” in a future year, discovering a different area or exploring another interest. Each tour will explain its focus, the places included and the experiences you can expect, helping you choose the visit that suits you.

Sharing The Experience

You can join a scheduled tour with a partner, friends or family, or enquire about travelling on your own. The shared itinerary gives everyone a programme to look forward to, along with the pleasure of getting to know other people as the tour unfolds.

Before booking, you will be able to review the dates, group size, accommodation arrangements, walking involved, price and inclusions. We are happy to answer questions about the itinerary or practical details so that you can decide whether the tour meets your expectations.

When you have something else in mind

Choose Your Own Adventure

If the dates, itinerary or focus of a scheduled tour do not quite suit you, we can explore something more personal through our bespoke tour service.

Every bespoke tour begins with a free, no-obligation Zoom call. This gives us an opportunity to hear your ideas, answer your questions and discuss the many possibilities available through Irish Ancestral Group. You do not need to have an itinerary prepared. You might have a bucket list, a particular interest or simply a wish to visit Ireland without knowing where to begin.

Book Your Free, No-Obligation Zoom Call

We can discuss an immersive visit centred on music, landscape, agriculture, wildlife or natural history, as well as history, heritage and ancestral connections. If your travelling party has a mixture of interests, we can look at ways to bring these together so that everyone has something to enjoy.

Part of our role is to suggest experiences and places you might never have considered. Tell us what excites you, what you have always wanted to do and any practical concerns you have. We will help you explore what is possible and develop a tour around your own group, interests and preferred pace.

Hear About Upcoming Tours

Our scheduled-tour programme is being developed, and each departure will have its own itinerary and booking information. If you would like to hear when details become available, get in touch and tell us about the regions, themes or experiences that interest you.

Registering your interest does not commit you to booking. It gives us an opportunity to let you know about forthcoming tours that may appeal to you.
